Agree on a number between 10 and 20 – this is how many times you’re going to flip the coin. We’ve been showing you out of the box date ideas, and this one was the coolest! We tried a paint night at @paintingwithatwist Nashville location and even if you’re like me and can only draw stick figures, you will feel so artistic! 😁The instructor walks you through everything, and I have to say - It was the best piece of art I’ve ever made (possibly because you couldn’t go wrong with this technique 😉). More importantly it was trying something new and fun together, and science proves that when you do something new and fun with someone, you get a dopamine hit that makes you wanna come back for more - with them. It’s the most underrated glue that holds couples together.
Date night can be so much more than dinner and a movie (which is still great)….or, if you’re like us in the younger years, I can remember leaving the kids with a sitter and then waste half our time trying to figure out where to go and what to do. 🤪 Time is $$, people! So, we’ll keep sharing our ideas - and if you’re in Nashville, check this place out!
What a great date night we had at @kitchensocialnashville learning how to make pasta! I’ve ALWAYS wanted to do this, and now that I have, a pasta maker is for sure going on my birthday wishlist. 🙏🏼 🍝 It really is true that once you eat it fresh, you can’t go back to the boxed stuff. The instructor was super fun and made everything easy - even for the novice husbands. 😜 And you guys - the ravioli was TO DIE FOR. 😋 We will definitely be back because they offer so many other classes. Highly recommend for an out of the box and delicious date idea. 👌🏼😉
Here’s a little glimpse into our double date at the beautiful and serene @rmstables in Nashville. This was at the end of a very long and stressful day and it was EXACTLY what we needed! Ron from R&M taught us so much we never knew about horses and gave us a lesson, helping us feel nice and confident with them. And, as you can see, we ended with the most gorgeous golden hour in a picturesque pasture and enjoyed charcuterie while chatting. I didn’t want to leave, and I’m already scheming to figure out my next visit and also planning my boys weddings there in my head. 😆 Thank you, R&M for a MAGICAL experience! ♥️
Since the season of love is such a busy time for us, we decided to get our own date night in before things get even crazier with travel for us. So, this week we carved out time (because that’s what ya gotta do!) for both a relaxing date and a fun one. Here’s a little snippet of our night doing something we haven’t done in almost 30 yrs!! Once we got our bearings again, it was a total blast! And we were super impressed with the @rivergateskatecenter facility! Even though it’s been around since the 70’s, it was newly renovated, bright, clean and lots of fun. We will totally be back! I say, bring back roller skating! 🪩
We were gifted some time at @hudsondayspa and decided to go for some relaxation and time together before our separate Christmas tours begin. What a smart idea that was! I love the spa, but Dan had never been. I think I may have converted him! 😁 We did a couples massage (which was incredible - literally the BEST massage I’ve ever had) and then both experienced the cold plunge/infrared sauna for the first time. It was crazy!!! Didn’t think we’d be able to do it, but we ended up dipping in the water several times and felt AMAZING afterwards. I can see why this is becoming so popular. As you can see, the spa was serene and beautiful and I will definitely be back! Highly recommend this kind of experience for unique date option for couples (feeling relaxed, trying something new together, getting a major dopamine hit and being your bathing suits while doing it is a great combo 😜), and if you’re in the Nashville area, check out House of Hudson! It’s Dan’s birthday today! 🎉 I surprised him this year with both a guys night AND a date night downtown Nashville (aren’t I a great wife?! 😆😁) Decided to make a little reel of our night at @hocnashville which is under the Johnny Cash museum because it was SO cool! Dan has always loved magic, so this was perfect for him. An elegant dinner and show experience, as well as stations set up throughout the restaurant where you can watch magicians up close. (Filming was prohibited during this so you’ll just have to experience it first hand) Was truly amazing and we highly recommend. Put it on your itinerary for whenever you visit Nashville. We will be back!
