SKIING

Of course, this one is seasonal and depends on if that’s at all obtainable where you live. But in the winter, many people live within proximity of at least a small ski hill, and without a hill there is also cross country skiing which can also be very relational and great exercise!

SHOOTING RANGE

Even if you don’t own a gun to shoot, at many shooting ranges you can rent one and even take a lesson. If you’ve never tried it, feeling the power of a gun or bow in your hands can be exhilarating. Learning proper technique and actually hitting a target as desired is super rewarding. This could be the “outside the box” experience you both might be surprised to enjoy together.

HUNTING

We know for some of you this is WAY out there. But it could be that it’s not impossible, maybe one of you hunts and the other has never come along? Even if a shot is never fired and Bambi’s mom gets to live, the experience of being out in nature on an adventure together could be one for the books!

AXE THROWING

This one might be “out there” for some of you, but it can be a LOT of fun! (and if you stink at it, it could be hilarious too!) Axe throwing locations are growing in popularity and chances are there’s one not too far away. Apparently there are even LEAGUES for this now if you both like it!

GO-CARTING

How many years has it been since you went go-carting? Why not take a spin around a local track and see if you’ve still got the edge! What if there was a friendly wager with your spouse with benefits for the winner provided by the loser? Throw in some ice cream after for the date-night-win!

STRIP NERF

Here’s how it works (married folks). You’re home alone together. You both get nerf guns and start on opposite sides of the house. It’s pretty simple… Wherever you are hit with a nerf bullet, that article of clothing has to come off! You can wear multiple layers to start, but it won’t be long before you’re missing some clothing… You can do with that what you will.

AMUSEMENT PARK

Why not act like kids again and visit an amusement park, carnival or fair together? Experience the adrenaline rush of a ride or the thrill of winning a prize again. Take in the smells, the junk food and the people watching together. Make out on the Ferris wheel, crash into each other on bumper cars and hold hands like old times.

STRIP POKER

Yes, we said it! This is for the married folks of course! But the old classic might put the spark back into a simple deck of cards. If you’ve forgotten the standard poker hands a simple Google search will remind you of the hands. Then, you can see how long you’ll keep your hands to yourselves!

KAYAKING

If this is outside of your normal, it can be exhilarating and fun. Depending on where you live, finding a place you can rent a kayak or canoe might not be that hard, or it could require a day trip. (So combine it with a picnic!) The teamwork required for a shared vessel will ‘force’ you to work together!
